Welcome and thank you for coming to my page!

I've been a photographer for most of my life. As a teenager, I saw a magazine article of Annie Leibovitz photographing Elton John. I was floored that a person could make a living as a photographer. That became my goal and I shared it with my Mom. She wanted me to attend a well known photography school in Santa Barbara, where I was raised, and bought me my first camera. Circumstances changed when she passed away shortly after I graduated from high school. I began a retail job while attending Santa Barbara City College where I studied Business. I would walk up the hill to my car after school to the site that now the Garvin Theater and dream of being a photographer while I was studying marketing. I had to figure out a way to translate my love for photography into a career. While working part time at Vons Grocery, I was a contributing photographer in their in house magazine. Whenever there was a store Grand Opening or the Kool Aid man would visit, there I was. I also became co-owner of two retail surf shops as well as a surfboard factory. That was not my passion, but I learned a lot doing everything from payroll to purchasing. My first paycheck as a photographer came from
Surfer Magazine.

I started photographing weddings and events to support my family as well as eventually working for a large portrait studio. My love for capturing people within their environments is still a passion of mine today.

I have over forty years experience as a photographer and realize that my clients appreciate me not only for my technical ability, but also for my creative input. My years of experience brings efficiency to their photography experience. While they might initially contact me for head shots, we frequently create an entire gallery to be used for websites and marketing.
